Scyna Matrix is a multidisciplinary practice for the built environment. The story begins with the company dates, the names it has used, and the disciplines it brings to each project.
Establishment
The practice was established on 17 March 2005 as Scynamatrix Consult Ltd. In 2006 it became Scyna-Matrix Limited.
A multidisciplinary practice
Founded in 2005, Scyna Matrix brings together architecture, engineering, urban design, construction and project and facility management.
The work covers residential, commercial, institutional and infrastructure projects, including tall buildings, transportation facilities, warehousing and industrial development.
Six disciplines
Each discipline contributes a distinct part of the work.
- Architecture. Architectural design shaped by research, environmental performance, material and structural logic, and the needs of people and place.
- Engineering. Engineering coordinated with architectural intent and the technical delivery of built-environment projects.
- Urban Design. Design at the scale of districts, movement, infrastructure and the relationship between buildings and public space.
- Construction. Construction delivery informed by design intent, material logic, quality management and disciplined execution.
- Construction Management. Coordination of construction across time, cost and quality, from procurement and scheduling through site delivery.
- Project / Facility Management. Management of buildings, installations, complexes and infrastructure through delivery and subsequent operation.
Experience
The Principal's professional experience spans Nigeria and other African markets, including Tchad, Cameroon, Niger and Ghana. The practice's work also includes N'Djamena and Mondou in Tchad, together with Cameroon, Niger Republic and Ghana, alongside projects in Nigerian states.
